Wear the Yellow Jersey: The Tour de France

The Tour de France just finished the 10th of 21 stages today. It has been an exciting event as always and often times provides amateur athletes with some nice motivation to get out on the bike. Of course, not all of us are hitting 40km an hour on the bike or are able to climb the Alps like the pros. For others though the Tour de France can be a bit confusing as it stretches over many days, requires colorful jerseys, uses French words which us Americans have trouble with sometimes and can be a bit foreign in general to those who are not familiar with cycling.

This video does an excellent job of explaining the Tour de France’s history, stage layout, jersey color scheme and tactics used by teams to win the overall race. We hope you enjoy the video and follow along for the rest of the Tour de France as it celebrates its 100th anniversary this year!
